Been awhile i posted for Cee’s Black and White challenge, but i always check in for the beautiful works that other participants put up. Some are simply stunning.
I digress…..
For the challenge this week it’s Close Up. I picked a close up shot of a rusted wheel frame as a subject.

I spy with my camera eye a beautiful sunset and a soul in touch with nature. Taken 2 days ago at sunset, evening walks are common around my home partly for the refreshing feeling and open sky present. It helps to calm the nerves from a rough day as well as get a little exercise done 🙂

The beauty of Light and Shadow interpreted in a Tuesday Monochrome feel. The heavy drops of glistening water draped these flower petals after a very heavy rainstorm a few days back making for great macro photography 🙂 .
Caterpillars as my gallery below shows, are beautiful in any light. The exquisite strips and spots, classic and clean just like the Zebra of the African plain. Colour sometimes distracts, with the brilliant display nature puts on everyday. The mute of Black and White helps to appreciate the details and efficiency of nature.
Did You Know:
A caterpillar has as many as 4,000 muscles in its body. By comparison, humans have just 629 muscles in a considerably larger body.
The majority of caterpillars are cryptically colored and bear resemblance to the plants on which they feed as a defensive mechanism.

Setting Lagos on its edge was the concept. I took all these shots (With the exception of the shot of Civic Towers) from the side of a moving Tricycle (Popularly known as Keke) on my various trips around the city. I’m always looking for new ideas to capture my environment, do you think its crazy or cool. Tell me in your comments.
