What a week, barely started and i can say its a real roller coaster *rolls eyes* ,anyhow i can’t let that stop my blog 😀 so here’s another from Nysc Collection. A montage of some moments during my camp endurance trek. I did an earlier post with a WPC theme.
My fav are the Corper’s shadow shot and the Hawker girl. What are yours?

Monochrome Tuesday with a twist. My photography muse today was a shot taken in camp. Played around with it by selectively allowing some areas retain their original look.

People in different moods, a shadow pose at high noon, a low shoulder hiding from the sun and a colourful farewell. This is from my Nysc Camp Collection of daily happenings.

Points of view matter in your perception of our world. It determines what is right and what is wrong. The perfect perspective is an illusion as much as the perfect picture. Its all a matter of perception.
In the Yoruba kingdom, it is customary for the king to be ushered in to any event or anywhere with music. His title demands it and this King was  no different, during his visit to my camp we were entertained by his entourage as he was ushered in and also during his speech they chorused his praises.
Info Bits
– The musical instrument in the first picture is a Sekere.  A Sekere is a melodic shaker; beads or cowrie shells beautifully wound around a gourd, shaken, beaten by fists occasionally and thrown in the air to create a festive mood.
– The musical instrument in the last two pictures is a Talking Drum. The talking drum is an hourglass-shaped drum from West Africa, whose pitch can be regulated to mimic the tone and prosody of human speech.

Juxtaposing man and a mountain was the idea for this images. Can they conquer by sheer pose or will it be a try unto futility.

I have a love for the open sky, there’s just nothing like feeling the expanse of earth for your eyes to savour and marvel.
Blue also happens to be my favourite colour (No surprise there 🙂 ).

Sometimes the journey might reveal different things, but all this knowledge is lost if we rush to our destination.
