Friday Late Post: Unpublished

Saturday…..Finally.

The week is finally over, on Wednesday morning as i peeled open my eyes to bright unwelcome sunlight, i felt like skipping over Thursday and Friday just to get to Saturday but Thursday came and i had a lil excursion/ Trip with a good friend and after a really long time i got to exercise my photography muscles and free my thoughts. Which brings us to today.

This blog was first a tester of my new camera then a therapy now i want it to a mini gallery of the photos i take that don’t fall into Architecture, which my Instagram account is for. If you haven’t checked it out, you are really missing great Archi shots of Lagos 🙂

Thursday Sunset: Glass Ball

It’s not the end of the day till the sun sets, and that goes without saying.
So when last did you sit and enjoy a beautiful sunset. We are so focused on the grind that we lose touch, slow down and appreciate the little things sometimes everything doesn’t have to be in focus to be beautiful.

Natural Monday: Baby Sea Shell

Welcome to a new week, HAPPY MONDAY 🙂
I know quite a few people don’t like that particular greeting but a new start is always welcome even if it’s in the form of Coffee-induced Monday buzz.
My muse for today is a quiet close-up of a baby Sea Shell at dusk, with every new day and every new start we need to remind ourselves of the little pleasures and evergreen beauty around us (even if our phones ring non-stop and our deadlines never seem to end).

Happy Easter

It’s in the holiday spirit that i’m posting a rain inspired shot. Its been raining alot in Lagos the past week one can’t help thinking they are showers of blessings to go along with the Easter tones of repentance and hope.
Photography is a thing of guts, sometimes you just know a shot will look good you might not know how good but sometimes you shot surprises you more than you could have thought. My shot at first glance was ordinary but when i converted it to Monochrome it really stood out. Have you been surprised by something unexpectedly good of recent?

Cee’s BW Challenge: Lagos Lagoon

Hallo peeps and welcome to a Black and White Tuesday.
I usually post my BW for Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge on Tuesdays. For a while now it’s been an alphabet run and i missed out on previous letter titles but this week to make up 🙂 i did a double L title..lool.
Not intentionally tho.

This image was a passing thought at the time, what i really wanted in my shot where the city lights on the water but after that i said why not lets do a long exposure shot as well with this former impedance as the main focus and it surprisingly turned out great. What do you think?

WPC: Security or Exploration?

The feeling of safety is something everyone wants and in every possible way. When you are inside your home, you feel safe from the elements especially when a thunderstorm is brewing overhead. Security is something that’s high on people’s list; Job security, home security etc.
This week the WPC is titled SECURITY. Show what represents security to you or what makes you feel loved and safe, i choose to show what we miss sometimes as we stay huddled in our safe houses away from the thunderstorms. Sometimes it’s good to step out of our comfort/secure zone and explore more of life and nature.

I stayed under cover (away from metal or trees), propped my camera and stood in the chilly wind hoping for a great catch of the night sky over my city; Lagos.
