Last Natural Monday of 2015: Blooms and Wasps

Firstly;

Merry Christmas In Arrears.

*And i hit the 500 WordPress Followers Mark last week šŸ˜€ šŸ˜€ *

Now that I’ve duly said my Seasons Greetings šŸ˜€ , how is the Last Monday of 2015 faring for you?
Right now everyone is a in a furious rush to tidy up this outgoing year, buy any last minute gifts and hampers for the New Year. I, myself have been less than prepared with my blog as I’ve actually not had a post since last upper week Friday.
*lots of things happening in the background, my sincerest apologies*

Today i’ll be sharing my last flower images for 2015 and hopefully next week i’ll forage through my stats and post my most popular images on my blog for 2015. šŸ˜€

YELLOW Things and more

Natural monday swings by again weirdly and enough its the mid monday of a month with 5 mondays
*the least favourite day of the week*
Today i’ll be digging into my library for some shots that I love, the colours will brighten even the dreariest day.
So what did you do to brighten your monday?

Wild and Red

MONDAY, ahhh yes it is the start of a new week and i too wish the weekend wasn’t over but we do have to work sometime šŸ™‚ . My first nature post in NaBloPoMo‘s month long November challenge. (Click the link for more info on the event)
Today I’ll be presenting something simple and RED, a very stark colour in a nearby field of greens and browns.
The nettles held so many droplets of rainwater, almost glistening in the calm and weak sunlight of the morning.

Flower Macro

Hi guys, sorry my Monochrome Tuesday post is coming a day late but better late than never. Took this shot 2 weeks ago during my caterpillar quest šŸ˜€ . I’m sure you’ve been seeing the results of that on my blog. If you missed them, here are shortlink to all related posts – CATERPILLARS

I digress, my photo post is a single shot of a wild flower with a little visitor. I feel the 16:9 photo size phase is really contagious. Do you think it lends more depth to a shot?

Reptile Close Up

Macro shots is this weekend’s theme, Macro in photography denotes nice big close-ups of itsy-bitsy things. The little details our human eyes might never see are exposed by artificial lens.
I would typically do a flower muse but not today. I went in the search of the weird and got pretty cool shots šŸ˜€ , this lizard just finished a little battle and was resting when i stumbled on him. My once in an Orange Moon chance to get cool shots of these fast critters.
Here’s a link to the WPC Post to see more cool entries – CLOSE- UP.
Interestingly enough i have a whole section for Dragonflies, especially colourful like in their post. You can check them out here
DRAGONFLIES.

Weird but True Lizard Facts

Some lizards cry bloody tears. TRUE.
Texas Horned Lizards, also called Horned Toads, defend themselves by puffing up and ejecting a small amount of blood from the inner corner of each eye to confuse predators.

Collared Lizards run on their hind legs like T-Rex. TRUE.
When startled, they rear up and run on two legs.

Lizards are found everywhere on earth except the Arctic and the Antarctic.

Beautiful Wrinkles II

Appreciation of nature must as well go with the little unseen places and things, the beauty we so admire all over nature is comprised of wrinkles. That word denotes unpleasant things for most people but its presence gives beauty to the forms we admire. Without the lines and wrinkles life will be plain and formless.
This shots are of a broken off piece of a Paw-paw tree trunk.

The rewards of patience are boundless but mine today is this very clear shot of a golden dragonfly. Not an easy feat being that i don’t use a zoom lens so i have to be uber close and still to get a Continue reading “Reward of Patience”
