WPC: Lightning Glow

Lightning Bolt by rubys polaroid

Morninggggggggg πŸ˜€ ,

I know it’s Monday but cheer up, it’s just for today……..and then the rest of your life (-__-). Today i’m focusing on something else asides the day, WPC over the weekend gave a theme for the Photo Challenge; GLOW.
Most photographers time their shots for early morning or late evening to get soft warm diffused light on their subject but that’s not the only time nature glows. It glows during a thunderstorm as well.

I got 2 beautiful shots of Lightning cracking through the skies last week and after looking at in on my laptop screen, i noticed they make the sky glow but in a vastly different way.
Do you agree or not?

WPC: My Window Frame

Lagos Lagoon Lights by rubys polaroid

Morning Guys? πŸ˜€ Been a while hasn’t it but first…..

Happy Independence Day Nigeria (it’s on Oct 1st but better late than never)Β

.…now back to the post. Took a much needed blog break for about 3 weeks, didn’t post anything except read articles and posts from around the blogsphere. Creative Burn-Outs are real and a break is a good idea to ease up and get back into it.

So……today i’m posting on this week’s WPC topic: WINDOWS ;what do you see through yours?
Our eyes are windows to our souls and vice versa, so it’s also true that the photos we take and create are windows into our minds. My long exposure shoots are of the Lagos Lagoon the night before a morning rainstorm. The clouds are low and the lagoon glassy, mirroring the sky and city lights.

What interesting sight have you seen of recent that you would love to share ?

Natural Monday: Beach Bamboo

Hi guys, its been awhile since i posted on Monday. My sincerest apologies, i was so caught up with taking shots with my new gear πŸ™‚ time passed and i forgot to upload frequently.
Let me confess there’s been some photography techniques I’ve wanted to try for the longest time, one of which is Long Exposure Photography. There’s just something about them, it captures extended time and creates surreal images and with my new gear it’s within my grasp πŸ™‚ .

This is my first Long Exposure Sunset Shot of bamboo shoots along the beach, hopefully as the sunsets get better into the year i’ll be able to show you a side of Lagos few people get to see. The horizon was dusty but i love the milky white waves πŸ™‚ .Β Comments and suggestions are always welcome πŸ™‚ .
