Welcome to a new week, HAPPY MONDAY 🙂 I know quite a few people don’t like that particular greeting but a new start is always welcome even if it’s in the form of Coffee-induced Monday buzz. My muse for today is a quiet close-up of a baby Sea Shell at dusk, with every new day and every new start we need to remind ourselves of the little pleasures and evergreen beauty around us (even if our phones ring non-stop and our deadlines never seem to end).
Where have i been lately? Well for one quite busy with a good friend’s wedding and the Open House Lagos Weekend Project. Two events close to my heart, Weddings are always a bubble of emotions and it makes it all the more touching when they were both my classmates throughout my Bachelors Degree and also colleagues in Masters at the same University.
The theme for WPC is Wanderlust, bring out shots that inspire the traveler in us. Well i haven’t traveled out of state of recent so i’ll be posting a beach shot i took during my few moments alone in nature. Nature shots always have that lost in time quality that make us feel the moment even if we are miles away and i hope this shots do just the same.
Hi guys, its been awhile since i posted on Monday. My sincerest apologies, i was so caught up with taking shots with my new gear 🙂 time passed and i forgot to upload frequently.
Let me confess there’s been some photography techniques I’ve wanted to try for the longest time, one of which is Long Exposure Photography. There’s just something about them, it captures extended time and creates surreal images and with my new gear it’s within my grasp 🙂 .
This is my first Long Exposure Sunset Shot of bamboo shoots along the beach, hopefully as the sunsets get better into the year i’ll be able to show you a side of Lagos few people get to see. The horizon was dusty but i love the milky white waves 🙂 . Comments and suggestions are always welcome 🙂 .
…and how’s your wonderful Wednesday coming along? Today i’ll be laying up for your listening pleasure a smooth electronic track that’s sure to take your mind to fun-times at the beach 🙂 . The track is Summertime Fling (aptly titled) from an EDM Trap Artist (Electronic Dance Music) by the named of SMiTHMUSiXfeat Alyshah. Discovered on this YouTube channel – MrMoMMusic
‘Better late than never’ is a worn out saying but as is the thing with ancient words they never lose their meaning. This post was supposed to come out on Tuesday as a double dose of WPC and Cee’s BW Photo Challenge: Liquid…..but oh well *shrugs*.
So here and now i bring to you my take on the water theme in my favorite medium; Black and White.
Took my camera out on a cold, windy day. The storm was right around the corner, perfect for wave shots 🙂 but mehn my knees took a hard one trying to stay still aenough to take them. By the way this where all handheld shots.
Inspired by WPC: H2o P.s- Check out the linked pages for more cool posts on either challenge.
Hi guys, welcome to a new week and an awesome Monday 😀 Today I’ll be posting in Monochrome, frankly the strength of Black and White pics have a way of pulling your eyes in some aspects of photography. My shots were taken at the beach, on a cloudy day with lots of chilly waves. Not the best of days but the shots were well worth it. Will be posting them as often as i can work on them, hopefully next week I’ll start off September in a Sporty way *Keeping my fingers crossed*. Enjoy the rest of your day where ever on the Greenwich Meridian you are 😀
