Who is Ruby?

Hiya, welcome to my blog filled with snatches of light and pictures of places you’ve probably never heard about or seen. I work with my Nikon L320, D5300 and use my Blackberry Z10 for in the moment pictures.
……Its about time i updated this page..gosh its already 3 years gone and i’m still running this blog. Honestly i didn’t think it would become such a big part of my life, something to keep me always dreaming and aspiring to be better everyday but here i am and i don’t intend to stop any time soon 😀 ..God willing.

I loooovvvveeee photography, it’s how our eyes can truly see our world from someone’s mind’s eye. Its how i believe people express ideas and dreams ( I still believe this and it’s part of why i believe photography should be less about Photoshop and more real life) .
My blog is a collection of pictures of my world as seen through my lens and how i see it should be captured, pictures of the urban areas, people going about life, tucked away places that the busy world flashes past.

My photography is mostly self taught, experimentation and discovery has always driven me to know more, try more always aiming to catch the moments i can. Feel free to explore through my pictures and words. Hopefully you stay tuned for more.

…And now to the crux of the page (lol). Who is Ruby?  Well she is a practicing Architect residing in Lagos, Nigeria. Gunning for a professional certification in her field. A lover of quiet moments and words, with few passions and a different outlook on many things. Hopefully that answers your questions 🙂

You can see me on these channels as well.

Have a lovely day ahead.

  1. I too believe in photographs that show how it really is in real life instead of those altered beyond recognition examples they called art. Sadly not so many people share my view. They rather see a candy orange sun over electric blue sea rather than how it really is during golden hour. I’m glad there is somebody out there like you. Keep doing what you’re doing and more power to you.

    1. I also love realistic photos but i can’t blame those who want to escape into pictures and that’s why surreal, over-worked photos are popular. Thanks alot 🙂 for stopping by.

  2. You use your Nikon well and have gotten your money’s worth from it, I believe. The camera can be no better than the photographer.

  9. G’day Ruby,
First off let me thank you for your visit and your notation to follow, both are very much appreciated.
I have been tiptoeing through your beautiful photos, albeit I (do and always have) liked black and white photos or paintings, but the way you add the dash of brilliant colour enhancing them, certainly adds a different perspective. 🙂
